School’s out for Summer!

Oakmont have started works on site at Fulham Preparatory School and Fulham Pre Preparatory School in a joint refurbishment project. The Fulham Schools will receive a refurbishment and refresh to the existing buildings over the summer holidays and will be fully fitted out for the new school term in September.

At Fulham Pre-Preparatory School, the scope of works will include the conversion of several existing ground floor classrooms into an open plan dining area with a feature acoustic timber ceiling, and a newly installed commercial kitchen area.

The works will also include strip out and demolition works to create full height glazed openings to visually separate external play areas through the new space. New canopies and window seat surrounds will also be installed.

At the Fulham Preparatory School extensive structural works will begin to the original 1890’s building to create a new upper loft / floor mezzanine creating three new classroom spaces.

Works will include a new steel supporting structure constructed in existing classrooms to support the new timber joisted upper floor, and new access stairs are to be created.

The second floor classrooms and all corridor spaces are to have new ceilings installed, in addition, a new performance hall will be created and feature acoustic ceilings are to be installed in both the performance and main hall.

The classrooms at the Preparatory School will receive a refresh and will be completed by the start of the new school term.
