School gets Arty

Oakmont Construction have been supporting pupils at William Martin Church of England Infant & Junior School in learning about the different seasons.

The pupils, aged between five and eleven, worked in small groups to create collages of Oak trees as they might appear in the different seasons.

Their fantastic works of art were then collated by Oakmont Construction and are now proudly displayed on the hoarding of their construction site in Harlow.

Amy Swanton, the school’s Creative Arts Programme Leader, and champion of this project said: “The children really enjoyed taking part in the project and we were really proud to showcase our work”.

Mrs Swanton, Jack (10), Lacey-Mae (10), and Nia (10) from the school, attended site today to view the finished article and receive certificates of thanks for their participation.

Oakmont are currently constructing nine new build trade retail units at East Place, which is adjacent to the Edinburgh Way Tesco store, for client Chancerygate. These new units will be a new home for Travis Perkins and Howdens, amongst others.
