Oakmont have recently secured works at the Pall Mall Deposit building working with existing client Workspace.
Located near Portobello Market in West London, the building used to be an old furniture safe deposit and has been standing since the early 1900s. These days the building is owned by Workspace who provide rented office and studio space to small enterprises, medium businesses and individuals in a highly popular area of London.
The project had been awarded to another contractor last year, but the company has since been placed into administration. Oakmont have taken on the project and picked up from where the previous contractor left the project.
Externally the redundant car park, will accommodate a new three storey extension, including 22 office/studio units. Additionally, three rooftop extensions will be constructed over the existing occupied blocks creating further CAT A office space.
Internally the scope of works includes the refurbishment of existing circulation areas and communal kitchens. A new reception will be created, incorporating an expanded café area and cycle storage with showering facilities will be installed.
A landscaped courtyard area will be created, and new private roof terraces will complete the works.Back to all blog posts
