New working space for Workspace

Oakmont have recently completed the works at 25-28 Easton street in Clerkenwell, London, for flexible office space provider Workspace.

The works consisted of the reconfiguration and complete refurbishment to the existing three and four storey buildings. This included the removal of the three existing structural internal cores and staircases to 28, and replacing them with a piled single central structural core, providing new bracing to the existing frame.

The existing top floor extension was removed and replaced with a steel framed, curtain wall structure incorporating anodised cladding and bespoke sliding screens onto a roof top decking area.

Internally work included replacement of the rear lightwell, new lifts, new reception, toilets and stairwells, and office areas completed to both CAT A and CAT B specification.

This extensive remodelling to the internal structure has created additional office space that is laid out to be beneficial to the way in which Workspace operate.
