Pavilion Retail Park
Oakmont’s works at Pavilion Retail Park involved the phased relocation of existing tenants and provisions for new
tenants, all within a live environment.
The overhaul commenced with the refurbishment of an existing B&Q store. The old high level shop front was partly
removed and replaced with a new flat faced cladding, new windows were installed, and the existing entrance
portal was removed and replaced with a new curtain walled portal.
A vacant unit was then stripped, the roof replaced, and the cladding and entrance to the unit updated, before
being split into two. Retailer Halfords now occupies one of the two units.
In a further phase, the unit that Halfords vacated had the roof stripped and an extension constructed to the side
elevation to create a larger unit for food retailer Aldi, including a new service area and loading bay.
Resurfacing works, white lining, new paving and bollards, and the provision of two new access points from the main
road, including a DDA compliant snaked slope, also formed part of Oakmont Construction’s contracted works.
