Greytown House

Greytown House is a six storey terraced office building built in the 1970s, located on Colchester High Street.  The busy location is shared with the Town Hall, which is on one side, and with shops, which are to the other side.

Works include a rear extension at ground floor level, which will be supported on steel V shape legs and create an under-croft area.

The new extension will form the shell for three restaurants.  The high-street frontages of these restaurants will benefit from the installation of new glazing and doors, with adaptations to the stonework.

The top four floors of the building, which will later be converted into residential flats, will be made good internally, with window replacement, the installation of new Velux windows to the mansard, and stone cleaning.

Additionally, a new substation will be installed at the rear of the building, to supply power to the retail and residential area.
